EKOLOG self-contained shot cleaning unit

The economic utilisation of pressure shot blasting machines for open area blasting requires shot recycling. This shot is contaminated during the blasting process, and it has to be cleaned before it can be used again. It enables higher blasting performance and better surface quality. When shot escape during blasting is prevented, the lifespan of shot cleaned with EKOLOG is very long. Savings compared to the expenses of blasting with single use shot are so high that the investment cost of the machine returns in a short time. One of the non-neglectable advantage of this machine is, that in the case of building a shot blasting box, the EKOLOG can be used as a component without surcharge.

One of the requirements for using the EKOLOG cleaning unit is, that the blasted, contaminated shot is transported into the collecting funnel of the elevator. The pressure vessel of the pressure blasting set can be placed under the shot silo of the EKOLOG, or it is possible to transport the cleaned shot to the place of the blasting in containers.

The main advantage of the EKOLOG cleaning unit compared to standard machines for shot cleaing is, that its function is fully independent on all other parts of the blasting machine. That means that by connecting the machine to the electrical network and to a compressed air supply, it is prepared for function and it does not need any supplemental filtering units. The built-in filter in the EKOLOG is sized to ensure perfect cleaning of the shot. The dust content of the exhausted air is small enough to enable the placement of the device in the usual operating enviroment, in accordance with the hygienic norms.

After the contaminated shot is elivered to the device, its operation is fully automatic. The contamination is separated into plastic bags on the separator exhaust and into the collecting vessel of the filter. The clean shot falls into the silo and is automatically filled into the pressure vessel during each interruption of the blasting process. The rough contamination, which could endanger the normal operation of the device is separated by a mesh screen before entering the elevator.

The electric and pneumatic equipment is part of the delivery, and it ensures secure function of the device after it is connected to a power source.
