Tunnel blasting machine MAXIMA with roller track

The MAXIMA is a pass-through shot blasting machine with impellers. It has a tunnel design with roller conveyor track and is made for continous automatic shot blasting of sheets, sections, pipes, weldings and other materials. The blasted workpiece is put on the roller track in parallel with the direction of blasting. The impellers are organised perpendicularly to the direction of workpiece movement. A set of wear resistant rubber curtains is built in the input area. These prevent shot escape during the blasting process.

When the workpiece passes the input area, the valve feeding shot to the impellers automatically opens, so the workpiece which is now in the blasting chamber is blasted. The presence of the workpiece in the chamber is watched with a detector. The impulse from the detector directly controls the shot feeding valves.

The blasted, contaminated shot falls through the collecting funnel of the cabin on the longitudinal screw conveyor, which delivers it to the transverse screw conveyor. The transverse conveyor delivers the shot to the bucket elevator, which lifts it into the shot cleaning device. The cleaning device separates recyclable shot from rough and fine contamination. The clean shot falls into the silo, from which it is fed into the impellers by the shot feeding valves.

Additional brushes and air blasting devices clean the surface of the shot blasted workpiece from remains of dust and shot (important especially when blasting steel sheets or other workpieces with large flat surfaces). After the workpiece passes through the blasting area, the shot blasting process is automatically stopped until a new workpiece arrives.
